The Kashmir police chief stressed the necessity of strengthening security arrangements around vulnerable installations, including prominent tourist destinations, to ensure a safe and secure environment for visitors. He called for strict surveillance along inter-district boundaries to prevent any suspicious movement.

Special directions were issued regarding effective traffic management in Srinagar city, with instructions to implement a comprehensive traffic plan aimed at easing congestion, ensuring smooth vehicular movement, and minimising inconvenience to the public, the spokesperson said.

IGP Kashmir also reviewed preparedness related to Hajj arrangements, directing officers to ensure adequate security, facilitation, and coordination at all designated points to guarantee the safe and orderly movement of pilgrims.
