Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu today organized “One Day District Level Awareness Camp” in the Conference Hall of DC office Samba. District Development Commissioner, Samba Abhishek Sharma, was the chief guest. More than two hundred breeders participated in the awareness camp.
The District Development Commissioner interacted with Sheep & Goat breeders of the area and informed the public and PRIs regarding the schemes launched by the Department for the welfare of the people. He exhorted upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of the Employment Generating Schemes of the department launched by the Government. He stressed upon the breeders to constitute FPOs, avail Livestock insurance under NLM, HADP, Kissan Credit Card (KCC) and implementation of various schemes to double the farmer’s income.
