 Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Ranjit Singh today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for the Diwali festival.

The ADC directed the PHE and PDD department to ensure round the clock electricity and drinking water supply in view of the Diwali festival.ADC asked the Fire and Emergency Services Department to keep the fire tenders available to meet any eventuality. He further said that crackers can only be sold at Ramleela Ground Kathua in MC Kathua besides the other designated areas identified by the concerned MCs.The ADC directed concerned departments to keep a check on the quality and rates of eatables, sanitation, and encroachment in marketplaces and other busy places in the town.The ADC also directed the concerned teams to keep a check on the adulterated and synthetic milk products. He called for immediate seizure of adulterated sweets and other eatables and book such erring traders.
