A 3.2 magnitude earthquake hits Kargil district in the Union Territory of Ladakh on Thursday but there was no report of any damage, officials said.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the tremor occurred at 4:33 pm and the depth of the tremor was 5km below the surface, it said.
Police said there was no immediate report of any damage.
In a post on X, NCS said, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.2, Occurred on 18-04-2024, 16:33:50 IST, Lat: 33.28 & Long: 76.84, Depth: 5 Km ,Location: Kargil, Ladakh,India.”
