From last few weeks every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir state is aware about Inspector General of Police Traffic Department Shri Basant Kumar Rath who recently holds this prestigious post. A young and dynamic IPS officer holding this prestigious post in J&K with an aim to bring a change of obeying rules and acting tough against voilatiors , according to law and jurisdiction of state .
Being an officer and taking his responsibilities of performing his duties honestly , It was first day of holding his charge as IGP Traffic, He via social networking sites starts a campaign to bring Traffic system on right path and started awareness among common masses to follow Traffic Rule .
It was a historic day in history of state when He seized an Audi Car of his batch mate’s relatives and faces major hue and cry among general masses and senior authorities . On social networking sites various groups called it a good decision and appreciated the role of IGP in Traffic Department and some others called it bad and doing so is only to touture the common masses.
Besides all odd , not caring himself and calling himself an IPS Officer , IG Basant Rath continues in streamlining the traffic department in Jammu city i.e known as City of Temples and Winter Capital of Jammu and Kashmir .
“’It was that time , when every section of society was calling traffic department most corrupt department in state now after assuming charge of Basant Rath as IGP Traffic , every section starts calling it honest department only of the dedication and honestly . The difference is only one to do your duty as you are getting wages noone can pick up finger on you but will always remembers you only of your honesty and dedication”’ .
During the time period of assuming charge of Basant Rath as IGP Traffic , a sudden change came to be seen and across whole state Traffic rules violations was reduced and Department was seen to act tough against violators .
It is time in state when everyone is becoming fan of IG BASANT RATH only of his honesty and dedication .
Few days ago I came across an official letter of DGP Jammu and Kashmir regarding working style of IG Basant Rath , I don’t defend the letter , but I would like to say that honesty and dedication don’t needs any uniform or any other ,One who is working honestly don’t cares himself weather he is in gains or loss . I stand with DGP letter , but would like to say that there is too much garbage dumped in traffic department and Traffic rules violators that don’t needs uniform but only needs the will of removing and streamlining .
Any how Being a citizen of Republic India , I salute Basant Kumar Rath and had became a fan of his honesty and dedication and requested IGP Basant Rath , kindly take a visit to Chenab valley so as Traffic department can be streamlined across whole state .
It is important to mention here that Basant Kumar Rath had hold various posts in state as SSP , DIG of various regions and had proved his honesty and dedication in solving various Crime case across the state .
