In 1373 Shahmiri king of Kashmir Qutub ud din built first residential college for students in Aali kadal Srinagar,thus laid the residential system of education much before other neighbouring countries.
– Muhaddith Jamal-Ud-Din built first college on religious sciences known as URWAT UL WUSQA (the firmist handle) which is seen in ruins to this day in Ashai Kucha Fateh Kadal.
– In 1420 ,Zainulabideen Budshah established first translation bureau at Nowshahar ,where Arabic and Sanskrit books were translated into pertsian and Kashmiri.
– Sultan Sikinder established college of Jami near Jamia masjid Srinagar where philosophy ,mathematics,and metaphysics was taught .
– Zainulabideen built colleges in Dachanpora Islamabadand and Lar Ganderbal
Parimahal – Prince Dara Shukh established residential college of metaphysics and astronomy and named it Kasb-I-Mah (acquisition of moon ) up at chasma shahi locally known as Pari mahal. Wife of dara shukh pari begum donated his jewellery for its construction .
-On 31 december Nehru referred Kashmir dispute to united nation .
-In 1957 ,external foreign Minster Malik Feroz Khan Noon while addressing United nation said Pakistan is ready to withdraw its troops from Pak adminstered Kashmir if both places will be immediately taken by united nation troops.
-Governor of poonch Shams-Ud-Din rebelled against dogra occupation .
-According to G.T.Vigne Britain appointed observer of Kashmir ,the poonch rebels were flagged alive , dogra rulers skin to be strawed .
Almost 20000 -50000 kashmiris from Poonch served british army and took part in world war first
-In 1941 the total population of Kashmir was 17,28,705
-In 1889 ,after accusing Pratab Singh of maladministration Britain essentially ruled J&K until 1905 through residents who resided in residency road lal chowk.

The first recorded king according Rajtarangni was Gonada-1 and he was killed while fighting army of hindu diety Krishna in Magada.
