Doda town is witnessing a power-cut since last night due to which people are facing inconvenience.
While speaking to CNS, XEN (maintainance) Tassaduq Shaikh who said, “There has been a problem in the receiving station due a minor blast which caused problem in the panels. There is no fault from the maintenance side. We understand that due to hot weather, public is facing inconvenience. We have talked to the transmission side as well, we are fully corporating with them, all our man-power is on work currently the issue will be sorted out at the earliest and electricity will be restored by the Evening.”
We also spoke to XEN Std (transmission), Jarnail Singh said, ” We have an 11 KV system here and last night at around 11:55 p.m a flash occurred causing fire and smoke. All the officials rushed to manage the situation and controlled the fire. Upon inspection, it was found that a blast had occurred in the PT and caused the damage. The team of Officials started the restoration work and one venture was restored at around 1:15 am. All the officials including A.E and J.E were present. The work is going on and electricity will be resumed in a couple of hours, probably by 6 P.M today.”
The Electricity will be resumed in the Lower Mohallas of Doda City region once the restoration work of second venture is completed. It may take up to few hours, the power will be resumed probably before 7 PM. The officials are trying hard to finish the restoration work by 5 pm but due to complicated repair work, it can take an hour or two more. (CNS)
