Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Today is a historic day when Parliament, by approving the ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025’, has put an end to an era of injustice and corruption.

In a post on X, Amir Shah wrote, “Today is a historic day when Parliament, by approving the ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025’, has put an end to an era of injustice and corruption that had persisted for years and ushered in an era of justice and equality,”

“Through this bill, Waqf Boards and Waqf properties are set to become more accountable, transparent, and just. This will undoubtedly benefit the poor, women, and children of the Muslim community.” he added.

“I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju for this important bill that gives justice to crores of people , Also I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the parties and MP’s who supported it,” the Union home Minister said.
