Floral tributes paid to Chadoora slain Tasveer Ahmad Dar

Srinagar June, 17: To pay homage to slain police Constable Tasveer Ahmad Dar, a wreath laying ceremony was held in DPL Srinagar. Besides, Chief Secretary B.B Vyas, Jammu Kashmir Police Chief Dr SP Vied and other police and  civil officials participated in the ceremony.

     Among others who presented floral tributes included Principal Home Secretary J&K R.K Goyal, ADGP Security Dilbag Singh,  ADGP Armed L. Mohanti, Div Com Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, Director Vigilance J&K SJM Gillani, IGP CID A.G Mir, IG CRPF Zulfkar Hasan, IGP Kashmir Munir Ahmad Khan, IGP Traffic Jagjit Kumar, IGP Railways Rajesh Kumar, IG Personnel PHQ J.P Singh, IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi, IGP Armed Kashmir Mubarak Ganaie, DIG CKR Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lone, a number of SSsP & Commandants of armed/IR, DySsP and Jawans.

The body of the slain cop was laid to rest at his native village Sorasyar Chadoora, Budgam. A large number of people participated in the Nimaz-e-Jinazah.

Pertinently, on Friday, a wreath laying ceremony was also held in DPL Anantnag. DIG SKR Swami Prakash Pani led the civil and police officers in laying the floral wreaths to the bodies of the slain cops including, SHO Achabal SI  Feroz Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Raheem Dar resident of Dogripora Awantipora, Constable Sharik Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Ahad lone resident of  Mahayal  Tangmarg Baramulla, Constable Tasveer Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Ahmad Dar  resident of Sorasyar  Chadoora Budgam, Constable Sheraz Ahmad Bhat son of Sana-ul-lah Bhat  resident of Adso Achabal,  Constable Sabzar Ahmad  son of Farooq Ahmad resident of  Nowgam Shopian and SPO Mohammad  Asif Nazikee son of Mohammad Iqbal Nazikee resident of Shangus.

      Among others who presented the floral wreaths included DC Anantnag, SSP Anantnag Zubair Ahmad Khan  SP  OPS Anantnag, ASP Anantnag,  DYSP HQRS Anantnag, DYSP DAR  and other officers and jawans.

   Pertinent to mention here tha militants fired upon a police party that was on way from Anantnag to Achabal at Thajiwara in the jurisdiction of Police Station Achabal. In this incident six police personnel including the SHO Achabal were killed. The attack was carried out by LeT Commander Bashir Lashkari.

SI Feroz Ahmad is survived by aged parents, wife and two minor daughters, Ct. Sabzar Ahmad, a newly married is survived by aged parents, 4 brothers and wife. Ct. Tasveer Ahmad is survived by aged parents, wife and two minor daughters, Ct Sheraz Ahmad is survived by aged parents, wife, minor daughter and three brothers. Ct Sharik Ahmad is survived by aged parents, wife, minor daughter, unmarried brother and sister and SPO Mohammad Asif is survived by aged parents, wife, two minor children and unmarried brother.
