Budgam, June 17: The martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali (AS) was observed with religious reverence across Kashmir to pay homage to his services and efforts for the cause of Islam and Muslim Ummah.
The three day religious conferences that were organized by socio-religious organization Anjuman Shari Shain in different parts of Kashmir particularly at Imambara Hasanabad and Imambara Budgam culminated on 21st Ramadhan.
A big mourning conference was held at Imambara Budgam. Talking on this occasion senior separatist leader and President Anjuman Sahri Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi threw light on the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Ali A.S and his contribution in Islam.
While condemning the killings of innocent people all around the world, particularly in Kashmir Valley, Aga Hasan urged upon the people to follow the paths of Hazrat Imam Ali SA and Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (SAW) to maintain peace and brotherhood in the world.
Earlier special prayers were arranged for the whole night and people participated in these prayers and prayed for the unification of Muslim Ummah. Hazrat Ali Bin Abi Talib AS, Prophet Mohammed’s cousin and son-in-law, was well known for his great knowledge, played a great role in spreading Islam. Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him, described himself as the city of knowledge and that Imam Ali was its gate.
He said Imam Ali is respected for his courage, knowledge, belief, honesty, unbending devotion to Islam, deep loyalty to Prophet Muhammad, equal treatment of all Muslims and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies. (CNS)
