Srinagar, Aug 29 : Syed Ali Geelani while hailing sacrifices rendered by political prisoners lodged in state and outside jails, said that we as nation are pursuing a rightful mission of freedom and our resistance movement is based on principles and supported by strong historical evidences.
Referring to atrocities and brutalities inflicted by Indian authorities, Geelani said that we as a nation are striving for right to self-determination as guaranteed by global community. Instead of heeding to our genuine demand the Indian authorities are caging leadership, activists and strangulating our genuine voices, added Geelani.

Syed Ali Geelani expressed his serious concern about mysterious killing of youth, Muzafar Ahmad Parey and said that life and dignity of every civilian is at stake. We strongly condemn these killings, said Geelani and extended his condolences with grieved gamily, saying that we stand with them in this hour of grief.
Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep sorrow over the death of seven members of a family and prayed for forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss and eternal peace to the departed souls.
