Good Governance Week 2025: DC Budgam Reviews Action Plan for ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ Campaign

Budgam, December 17: As part of Good Governance Week 2025, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparedness for the district-wide outreach campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore,” scheduled from December 19 to December 25.

During the meeting, the DC unveiled a comprehensive action plan focused on strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms and ensuring doorstep delivery of essential public services at the grassroots level. He directed all departments to accord top priority to grievances received during the campaign period and submit daily progress reports on their disposal to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

The Revenue Department was instructed to organise grievance redressal camps in every revenue village, with special focus on resolving cases related to Mutation by Inheritance (Virasati Intikal), Jan Sugam, JK Samadhan, and other revenue services.

The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Budgam and all Block Development Officers (BDOs) were directed to hold camps for birth and death registrations, IHHL registration, issuance of new job cards, and other allied services.

Emphasising coordination, the DC said the Rural Development Department (RDD), as the nodal department, will work closely with all line departments at the Panchayat level to ensure effective and timely doorstep service delivery.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Budgam was directed to organise health camps in every tehsil during the campaign to provide basic healthcare services, medical consultations, and boost registration of ABHA IDs.

The Handloom and Handicrafts Department was asked to conduct on-the-spot registration of artisans, while the Agriculture and Allied Departments were instructed to expand coverage under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, update farmer data on the Kisan Daksh Portal, facilitate new FPO registrations, and intensify beneficiary enrolment during Sushasan Saptaah.

The Social Welfare Department and the Lead District Manager (LDM) were directed to enhance coverage under various social security and welfare schemes across all Panchayats of the district.

In addition, the DC directed all departments to organise special camps and awareness seminars on good governance to educate citizens about government initiatives, service delivery systems, and best practices in administration.
