Gulmarg records season’s coldest night at minus 8.8°C in Valley

Gulmarg recorded the coldest night of the season so far at minus 8.8 degrees Celsius, according to data.

In the Kashmir region, Srinagar registered a minimum temperature of minus 3.6 degrees Celsius, while the same was recorded at Srinagar airport.

Pahalgam recorded minus 4.8 degrees Celsius and Shopian minus 5.6 degrees Celsius. Pulwama recorded a low of minus 4.2 degrees Celsius, while Budgam registered minus 3.5 degrees Celsius.

Kupwara recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.8 degrees Celsius, Kokernag minus 1.2 degrees Celsius, Pampore minus 2.5 degrees Celsius, Awantipora minus 3.2 degrees Celsius, and Anantnag minus 3.2 degrees Celsius.

Baramulla recorded minus 0.7 degrees Celsius, Bandipora minus 1.3 degrees Celsius, and Zethan Rafiabad minus 3.5 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature data was not available for Kulgam, Ganderbal and Sonamarg.

In the Jammu region, Banihal recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.3 degrees Celsius, while Bhaderwah recorded minus 2.1 degrees Celsius. Batote recorded 2.1 degrees Celsius, Ramban and Doda recorded 2.7 degrees Celsius each, and Kishtwar recorded 2.3 degrees Celsius.

Jammu city recorded a minimum temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius, while Jammu airport recorded 11.1 degrees Celsius. Kathua recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius, Reasi 8.3 degrees Celsius, Katra 5.6 degrees Celsius, Udhampur 6.0 degrees Celsius, and Rajouri 1.6 degrees Celsius. Temperature data was not available for Samba and Poonch.

In Ladakh, Leh recorded a minimum temperature of minus 9.6 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 8.4 degrees Celsius, and Nubra Valley minus 7.5 degrees Celsius, the data showed.(KNS).
