Bukhari, a well-reputed young civil servant borne on the strength of the Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) cadre in the Government of India, cleared the UPSC All India Civil Services Examination in 2016 and has been in service for over eight years. Bukhari previously served in Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 and subsequently at the Ministry headquarters in New Delhi. He is credited with making the field office of the Union Corporate Affairs Ministry in the Kashmir Valley effectively operational in 2019, immediately after the abrogation of Article 370.

Currently posted in the directorate office in New Delhi, he primarily oversees high-profile corporate fraud investigations and inspections. He reportedly also heads the unit responsible for certain security clearances and serves as the Nodal Officer (North India) for the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme.
