Jammu, October 1: The Harmony Cultural Foundation has announced the 11th edition of the Harmony India Awards, to be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The event will also witness the launch of Saaz-o-Sukhan, a new cultural series that aims to bring together the timeless traditions of poetry and music in a global dialogue.
Over the past decade, the Harmony India Awards have honoured more than a hundred distinguished personalities and institutions across diverse fields including music, literature, education, journalism, sports, and social activism.
This year’s awardees include:
• Lifetime Achievement Award: Sh. Vijay Dhar
• Yogini Mata Laleshwari “Lalded” Samman: Prof. Amitabh Mattoo
• Pt. Bhajan Sopori Smriti Samman: Sh. Romalo Ram
• Women Achievers Award: Dr. Deepali Wattal
• Shrestha Samman: Sh. Khalid Hussain, Sh. Brij Nath Pandit Betab, Sh. Ramesh Hangloo, Prof. B. L. Zutshi, Sh. Kaka Ji Safaya, Dr. Milan Sharma
• Special Award: Sh. B. L. Kaul Deep
• State Icon Awards: Sh. Pradeep Dutta, Smt. Ashma Koul, Sh. Rakesh Anand
• Community Icon Awards: Dr. Sushil Wattal, Sh. Pintoo Ji Pandita
• Yuva Puraskar: Sh. Anil Koul Chingari
The awardees were selected by the Harmony Jury Council, comprising Ms. Nirupama Kotru, Prof. Sudhir K. Sopori, Sh. Veer Munshi, Sh. Krishen Ji Langoo, and Sh. Ravinder Kaul.
Founder Saurabh Zadoo said that the initiative is aimed at celebrating talent and fostering cultural pride. “With the launch of Saaz-o-Sukhan, we are taking a step forward in connecting hearts through music and poetry, creating a platform where tradition meets innovation,” he stated.
The evening will feature musical performances, poetic recitations, and felicitation of awardees, making it a landmark celebration of the art, culture, and heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
