Hit-and-Run Case: Elderly man succumbs at SMHS

Srinagar, Jul 10 : A 70-year-old man, who was critically injured in a hit-and-run case near Tulsi bagh flyover on Sunday evening, succumbed to his injuries at SMHS hospital in Srinagar, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an elderly man identified as Muhammad Shafi Sheikh (70), son of Late Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh of Sakidafar Srinagar, was critically injured after he was hit by an unknown vehicle near Tuslibagh flyover on Sunday evening.

He was immediately taken to SMHS hospital for treatment, the official said, adding that the elderly man, however, succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation in this regard is going on.
