Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that India may soon top “hate and anger charts”.In a tweet, Rahul shared India’s ranking in hunger, freedom and happiness index and indirectly attacked the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.India is ranked 101 on the global hunger index, 119 in freedom and 136 in happiness. As per the GHI, with a score of 27.5, India has a level of hunger that is serious.

Belarus is one of 18 countries with a GHI score of less than 5.As per the 2021 Human Freedom Index report, India was ranked 119 out of 165 countries.Finland has been named the world’s happiest country for the fifth year in a row while Afghanistan has been ranked as the unhappiest, closely followed by Lebanon.Rahul has consistently attacked the BJP accusing it of spreading politics of hate.

Saying that this kind of politics is harmful for the nation, the Wayanad MP had urged the public to defeat this “politics of hate” in the Assembly elections. However, the BJP achieved victory in four out of five states while the Congress was decimated and also lost Punjab to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).After the Congress’ dismal performance in the Assembly elections in five states, Rahul Gandhi said he accepted the people’s verdict and congratulated the winning parties.

“Humbly accept the people’s verdict. Best wishes to those who have won the mandate. My gratitude to all Congress workers and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. We will learn from this and keep working for the interests of the people of Indi,” he tweeted.Despite Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi holding multiple rallies, the Congress was wiped out in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh failed to wrest power in Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. The party failed to beat the BJP, which retained power despite the anti-incumbency factor. ( Times Now )
