Infiltration Attempt Foiled Along LoC in Keran Sector, Gunfight Underway

Kupwara, Nov 08 : Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir launched a joint operation in the Keran sector of Kupwara district on Friday late night following specific intelligence inputs about an infiltration attempt from the Line of Control (LoC).

Officials told news agency Kashmir News agency —(KNC) that alert troops noticed suspicious movement near the LoC and challenged the individuals, who responded with heavy gunfire. The security forces retaliated, triggering a gunfight.

Contact has been established, and the infiltrators are reportedly trapped. The operation is still underway, they added.—(KNC)
