Injured retired Army man of Kulgam succumbs

A retired Army man who was shot at by unknown gunmen on Sunday evening at Buchroo area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, succumbed to his injuries at 92 base hospital Badamibagh Srinagar in wee hours of Monday.
Officials  said  gunmen fired upon a retired Army man identified as Abdul Hamid Mantoo son of Gh Hassan Mantoo on sunday evening at Buchroo kulgam.
“He was shifted to PHC Qaimoh in critical condition wherefrom he was referred to GMC Anantnag hospital for specialized treatment,” officials said.
A doctor at GMC confirm that the Army man who had sustained bullet wounds after operation was shifted to 92 base hospital Srinagar.
An official confirm that retired army man succumbed to his injuries at 92 base hospital Srinagar at around 3 AM.
“Police has also taken cognizance of the incident and registered FIR under relevant sections of law and further investigation has been taken up,” the officer said.
