The outreach focused on key aspects of taxpayer responsibilities and departmental initiatives, including:

  • Compliance under the Income-tax Act, 1961, with emphasis on timely filing of returns and statements.
  • Advance tax obligations, including the upcoming installment due on or before 15 December 2025.
  • Digital initiatives introduced by the Income Tax Department to facilitate smoother taxpayer services.
  • Grievance redressal mechanisms available to taxpayers and professionals.

Participants actively raised queries and shared practical concerns faced by the business and professional sectors. The interaction helped build confidence, enhance communication, and improve understanding of compliance procedures.

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry appreciated the Department’s initiative for direct engagement and awareness creation.
