Jammu Kashmir Forest Department Orders Transfer and Posting of 17 Officers

SRINAGAR 16 Sep : The Jammu and Kashmir Government’s Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment on Wednesday ordered transfers and postings of 17 forest officers and officials, with several officers assigned additional charges.

The orders were issued with immediate effect through Government Order No. 205-JK(FST) of 2026, dated September 16, 2026, in the interest of administration.

Mudasir Mehmood Malik, DCF, DFO Forest Division Awantipora, has been assigned the additional charge of General Manager, Extraction Circle South, Harang, Anantnag, J&K FDCL, alongside his existing duties.

Neha Mehta, ACF, presently Principal Soil Conservation Training School, Miran Sahib, has been posted as DFO Research, Division Jammu (SFRI). She will also take charge of the post from Bishan Dass, DCF, who has been relieved of the additional responsibility.

Harpreet Kour, ACF, awaiting adjustment in the office of the PCCF/HoFF, J&K, has been assigned the charge of Special Secretary (Technical), Civil Secretariat, replacing Vivek Modi, ACF.

Modi has, in turn, been assigned the charge of Principal Soil Conservation Training School, Miran Sahib, replacing Mehta.

Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, ACF, DFO Division Srinagar, has been given additional charge of DFO Planning Publicity Srinagar.

S. Amrik Singh, ACF, awaiting adjustment in the office of the PCCF/HoFF, has been posted as Wildlife Warden Kathua, replacing Vijay Kumar, ACF. Kumar has been directed to report to the PCCF/HoFF, J&K, for further posting.

Abid Ali Lone, DFO Planning & Publicity Srinagar, has been posted as Wildlife Warden Wetland Division Kashmir, replacing Altaf Dento, DCF, who has also been directed to report to the PCCF/HoFF for further posting.

Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, RO-I, DSCO Kupwara, has been assigned the additional charge of Divisional Manager, Extraction Division, Ganderbal, J&K FDCL.

Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal, RO-I, awaiting adjustment in the office of the PCCF/HoFF, J&K, has been posted as Range Officer Ramhal Range, Kehmil Forest Division.

Mudasir Ahmad Shah, RO-I, Range Officer Mawar Range, has also been given charge of Rajwar Range.

Arooq Shah, RO-I, Range Officer Tral Range, has been posted as Range Officer Shopian Range, Shopian Division, replacing Farooq Ahmad Mir, RO-I.

Suhail Ahmad Wani, RO-I, Range Officer ZSCO Pampore, has been posted as Range Officer SPSP Range, Tangmarg Forest Division.

Sameer Ahmad, RO-I, awaiting adjustment in the office of the PCCF/HoFF, J&K, has been posted as Assistant Administrative Officer, JKFDCL.

Haroon Mushtaq, RO-I, Range Officer Haveli Range, has been posted as Range Officer Wildlife Range Poonch, replacing Mohd Idris Khan, Forester. Khan has been directed to report to the PCCF/HoFF, J&K, for further posting.

Farooq Ahmad Mir, RO-I, Range Officer Shopian Range, Shopian Division, has been posted as Range Officer Tral Range, Awantipora Division, replacing Arooq Ahmad Shah.

Aurangzeb, RO-I, presently in the office of the Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, has been posted as Range Officer Haveli Range and will also hold charge of Mendhar Range.

Mohammad Shamim, Forester, in charge Range Officer Mendhar Range, has been posted to the office of the Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment.
