SRINAGAR 16 Sep : Many parts of Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive rain and thundershowers from tonight through September 17, with gusty winds, hail and intense showers possible at some places.

Rain and thundershowers are likely at many to most places across Jammu and Kashmir from tonight through September 17, according to a seven-day weather update issued by Kashmir Weather.

The forecast does not indicate a continuous spell, but says the chances of rain spells will remain high during the period. Gusty winds, hailstorms and intense showers are also possible at a few places.

Weather is expected to remain mostly fine on September 18, although isolated areas may receive a thundershower during the late afternoon or evening.

Dry weather is forecast from September 19 to 22, with one or two places potentially witnessing a brief thundershower during the period.
