SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved two projects worth Rs 10.95 crore for the preservation, restoration and upgradation of two prominent religious sites in Anantnag district, the Office of the Chief Minister said on Monday.

According to a post by the Office of the Chief Minister on X, Rs 5.03 crore has been sanctioned for the restoration and renovation of Ziyarat Sharief Khiram, while Rs 5.92 crore has been approved for the repair and renovation of Shiv Mandir at Thajiwara in Bijbehara.

The two projects aim to preserve the sanctity and heritage of the religious sites while improving facilities for devotees, the Chief Minister’s Office said.

The combined outlay for the projects stands at Rs 10.95 crore. The government said the works form part of its efforts to conserve important religious heritage sites and enhance infrastructure for pilgrims and visitors.
