Jammu Kashmir : Govt Constitutes Committee to Probe JK PaySys Irregularities in Baramulla

SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a fact-finding inquiry into alleged irregularities involving the assignment of user credentials to unauthorised employees in the JK PaySys application within the Public Works (R and B) Division, Baramulla.

According to Government Order No. 171—PW(R and B) of 2026 issued on May 15, 2026, the inquiry committee has been constituted to examine alleged violations of prescribed norms in the use of the payroll management system.

The committee comprises Chief Accounts Officer, CE PW(R and B) North Kashmir, Shahnawaz Umer Khan, and Assistant Accounts Officer, Administrative Department, Imtiyaz Rasool Bhat.

It has been tasked with scrutinising all relevant records and submitting a detailed report within 10 days.

Officials said the move is intended to ensure accountability and safeguard the integrity of the JK PaySys platform, which is used for managing employee financial and administrative records.
