Wani,  a resident of Ganderbal, was appointed as Lecturer, Statistics, through Government Order No. 278-JK(Edu) of 2026 dated July 8, 2026.

Under the appointment order, he was required to join the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) within 21 days of the order being issued.

However, the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, informed the government through its letter No. DSEK/LectEstt/360 dated August 4, 2026, that Wani had not joined within the prescribed time.

The government has now directed him to report to the School Education Department, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, within five days of the issuance of the final notice.
