Six ‘Khouf Gang’ Members Arrested With Pistol, Sharp-Edged Weapons in Jammu : Police

SRINAGAR 07 Sep : Police have arrested six alleged members of the ‘Khouf Gang’ and recovered a pistol, ammunition and sharp-edged weapons from them in the Arnia area of Jammu, officials said.

The accused, all residents of Bishnah, were allegedly involved in threatening Ashwani Kumar at Kool Kalan on September 3 by displaying a pistol and tokkas, officials said.

Following a complaint, Police Station Arnia registered a case and launched an investigation. All six accused were apprehended on Monday.

Police said a search led to the recovery of one pistol with a magazine, three live rounds and five tokkas from their possession.

Further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused were involved in other criminal activities, police said.
