Anjali Raina, a senior executive at the bank’s Nai Basti Branch in Jammu held on to the handbag even after the assailant dragged her a few metres on the road. She was later taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Acknowledging the heroic effort of the official, the Bank’s President Human Resource Development, Mohammad Maqbool Lone hailed her courage and determination. He praised the official for being aware of her surroundings and showing presence of mind even during the current situation when Covid-19 pandemic has worried everyone.

Meanwhile, investigations into the matter have started after the Bank authorities lodged a complaint regarding the incident with the concerned police station.
