Jammu, Jan 29 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday announced a 15 per cent syllabus concession for Class 10th, 11th and 12th students of the Summer Zone appearing in the annual regular examinations of the Jammu Division.

Officials within government confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that “it was decided to give 15% syllabus relaxation for class 10th, 11th, and 12th students of summer zone in annual regular exams of Jammu Division, keeping in view the disruptions caused due to long spells of inclement weather and war-like situation last year.”

The decision was taken in view of academic disruptions caused by prolonged inclement weather, flood-like conditions and prevailing circumstances during the previous academic session, which affected timely completion of the syllabus, official said.

The concession aims to ensure academic parity and prevent students of the Summer Zone from facing any disadvantage in the forthcoming examinations.

The annual board examinations are scheduled to commence from February 17 for Class 10, February 23 for Class 12, and February 28 for Class 11. —(KNC)
