Chandigarh, Jan 29 : A tragic incident has claimed the life of a 65-year-old street vendor from Kulgam district after a wall collapsed on him at Naya Gaon area of Chandigarh, leaving his family shattered and in deep grief.

Details available with news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, The deceased has been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Malik, son of Wali Mohammad Malik, a resident of Bugam village in Kulgam district. He was reportedly selling dry fruits when the mishap occurred.

Following the incident, colleagues, well-wishers and members of the local community expressed profound condolences and extended solidarity to the bereaved family during this hour of distress.

Meanwhile, speaking to KNC family members has made an urgent appeal to the Jammu and Kashmir Administration, particularly the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to intervene and provide necessary assistance for the early and safe transportation of the mortal remains to his native place in Kulgam.

The family has sought timely administrative support to enable them to perform the last rites with dignity and in accordance with their traditions. —(KNC)
