Srinagar, Jan 2 : The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the regularisation of 13 In-charge Chief Accounts Officers (CAOs) and promotion of 23 Junior Scale Accounts Officers as Chief Accounts Officers in the Finance Department.
According to Government Order No. 02-F of 2026 dated January 1, 2026 as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, issued by the Finance Department and accessed by news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the decision has been taken on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee/Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, which met on December 19, 2025.
The order provides for the regularisation of 13 In-charge Chief Accounts Officers as Chief Accounts Officers with effect from the dates indicated against each officer, while 23 Junior Scale Accounts Officers have been promoted as Chief Accounts Officers with immediate effect. All promotions and regularisations have been made in Pay Level-11 (₹67,700–₹2,08,700).
The officials regularised as Chief Accounts Officers include Ancop Kumar Sharma, Gharu Ram, Mehar Chand, Mohd Bashir, Pooja Sharma, Shabir Ahmad Zagoo, Rakesh Kumar, Sukhdeep Singh Dheer, Priya Badyal, Shabina Kousar Gagroo, Sonam Singh, Owais Qadir Jan and Mohd Tariq Malik.
Similarly, 23 Junior Scale Accounts Officers, including Sameer-ul-Rahman, Omer Javaid, Sumit Sharma, Arun Kumar, Firdous Ahmed, Parvez Ahmad Sheikh, Nadia Khanday, Ruchit Kumar, Taneema, Zubair Sultan, Shahnawaz Umer Khan, Rahul Mahajan, Kumar Abhishek, Sayar Ahmad Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Ajay Kumar Pandit Raina, Nishu, Dr Anand Thakur Sen, Mohammad Abdul Basit Rizvi, Dateep Kumar, Liaget Mehmood, Monika Lahotra and Rohini Angral, have been promoted as Chief Accounts Officers with immediate effect.
The order has been issued by the Finance Department under the signature of Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Santosh D. Vaidya (IAS). (KNC)
