CM Omar Abdullah Reaffirms Vision for Inclusive and Future-Ready Education

Srinagar, July 21: A significant step towards reshaping the educational landscape of Jammu & Kashmir was taken today as the One-Day Conference on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2025 was held at the SKICC, Srinagar. Themed ‘Empowering Education Leaders for Holistic Education’, the event brought together key policymakers, educators, and academic leaders from across the Union Territory.
The conference was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who reiterated his government’s strong resolve to build an inclusive, innovative, and future-ready education ecosystem. He emphasized that under NEP 2025, Jammu & Kashmir aims to lead by example in nurturing holistic learning environments and empowering educators at all levels.
Accompanying the Chief Minister was Education Minister Sakina Itoo, whose presence underscored the administration’s collective commitment to driving meaningful reforms in the education sector. The event featured thought-provoking sessions on curriculum integration, skill development, teacher training, and digital empowerment.
In his keynote address, CM Omar Abdullah stated, “Our vision is to ensure that education in Jammu & Kashmir is not just about literacy, but about empowerment. NEP 2025 offers us the framework to shape a generation that is equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow while being rooted in cultural values and inclusivity.”
