The 2026 calendar artistically captures the serene and productive landscapes of silk farming across the Union Territory.

It features verdant mulberry farms, nurseries, and key sericulture activities spread over various regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The publication underscores the department’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the sericulture sector, promoting sustainable farming practices, and illustrating the natural beauty and economic potential of silk production in the region.

Officials stated that the initiative aims to raise public awareness and appreciation for sericulture, a tradition integral to Jammu and Kashmir’s rural economy and cultural heritage. (KNS)
