Scores of Graduate and Post Graduate unemployed youths from the various areas of the Kashmir Valley assembled here in the press colony and holding placards and banners in their hands which read “Revoke anti-youth Policy”, “Do not play regionalism”, “We want justice,” and “Violation of Article – 16 Right of equal opportunity for all” and “why are we being forced to withdraw.
In a recent notice by JKSSB, selected candidates for class IV having higher qualification were asked either to withdraw voluntarily or face action.

“All such higher qualified candidates are given an opportunity to withdraw their candidature voluntarily against the aforesaid Class-IV posts, by or before 22nd of September, 2021, failing which the Board shall take appropriate necessary action under rules,”notification reads.
The aspirants alleged that government failed to advertise any jobs for highly qualified despite thousands of vacancies in colleges, schools, hospitals and other health institutions and other professional intuitions under the pretext of resource crunch.

Government rather framing any Employment policy For Highly qualified Students is Pushing us more in Depression by restricting our recruitment in Recently qualified Class iv results they added.

One of protesting youth said that we are nearly 3 lakh unemployed Graduate, Post Graduate, M. Phil and Ph.D. unemployed youths across the Jammu and Kashmir which can not apply for the IV- posts due to the low eligibility criteria in the recruitment process.

He said he was desperate for the job as he has a family to look after. “I will choose a Class IV job any day over depression and being idle at home. Some candidates have secured less percentage in their graduation, which makes them ineligible to apply for any graduate level post. Where will they go?” he said.

Another Protester Zubair Ahmed told that Is Getting more qualification a crime,? What to do with our degrees if we can’t even apply for Class IV post, we will burn over degrees if govt won’t revoke this illegal law it’s simply a draconian law SSB wants to Impose.

The aspirants alleged that government failed to advertise any jobs for highly qualified despite thousands of vacancies in colleges, schools, hospitals and other health institutions and other professional intuitions under the pretext of resource crunch.

“The result was elimination of M.Phils, PhDs, NET, SLET, Graduates and Post-graduates besides professional degree holder youth from all kinds of selections thereby doling out the most contemptuous treatment to them, their only sin being that they were highly qualified.” they added
The protesting educated youths requested the LG Jammu and Kashmir look into the matter as early as possible and they also Warned JKSSB to Revoke it’s Illegal Recruitment Policy to avoid major protest against the department
