The meeting was attended by DIG CRPF Sudhir Kumar, SSP Srinagar Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, SP Cargo Srinagar Tanveer Ahmad, along with other senior officers from the Army, Intelligence Agencies, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the prevailing security scenario, with special emphasis on the safety and security of tourist destinations, particularly in view of inclement weather conditions. Measures aimed at confidence building among tourists and ensuring a safe and secure environment were deliberated in detail.

The meeting also reviewed the security arrangements ahead of Republic Day–2026, with directions issued to further strengthen the security grid, enhance inter-agency coordination, and ensure effective deployment of forces. The chair stressed upon maintaining high alertness, proactive intelligence sharing, and coordinated responses to any emerging challenges to safeguard peace and public order.

The general public is requested to cooperate with the security forces in the interest of their own safety and to promptly share any information regarding Anti-National Elements (ANEs) or suspicious activities that may disturb peace and tranquillity.
