According to MeT, the weather from January 13 to 15 will remain largely dry across the region. However, from January 16 to 18, there is a possibility of light rain in the plains and light snowfall over higher reaches at isolated to scattered places.

The department said that from January 19 to 21, light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely at many places, adding that a similar weather pattern is expected to continue from January 22 to 24.

MeT further said that weather is likely to remain partly cloudy from January 25 to 26. It also reiterated that a gradual rise in minimum temperatures is expected at many places from January 15 onwards.

Meanwhile, moderate fog is likely to persist over the plains of Jammu division, with dense fog at a few places during the next three days. The department has advised travellers and transporters to plan accordingly and strictly follow advisories issued by the administration and traffic authorities, particularly in view of the expected rain and snowfall which may affect road connectivity in higher altitude areas.
