Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Kashmir, stated, “We have sealed two cab services, Jugnoo and Novo, as they are currently operating without a license. We have received court instructions to shut down these two cab services, and we have complied.”

Notably, “Jugnoo and Novo were both app-based ride-hailing services that were operating in Srinagar. These services allowed users to book a cab through a smartphone application, which connected them with nearby drivers.”
