Srinagar April 11, : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Saturday held a review meeting at Srinagar Party office in which Coordinators and District Presidents of Kashmir province were present. They apprised the Chair about the political activities underway in their respective, assigned districts across Kashmir region.
JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra presided over the meeting. He (Karra) received feedback with regard to ongoing party activities in the districts, besides Congress Party’s indigenous programme Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq movement launched for restoration of Statehood also came under discussion in the meeting.
PCC President laid emphasis to actively involve common people in Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq movement in all the districts to send a clear message to Centre that prolonged delay in Statehood restoration is unacceptable and Congress shall continue to fight for Statehood and safeguarding people’s rights. We need to further gear up our political activities at grass roots in all the districts and ensure involvement of people in the Party’s indigenous movement, Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq Karra told the leaders.
People have great expectations from Congress. They know it is the Congress Party alone which is capable of fighting for safeguarding their rights and ensuring redressal of their genuine grievances. Congress represents people’s aspirations & urges and feels committed to serve them (people) equally, he said.
The meeting also discussed the various upcoming challenges reiterating Party’s stand to deal with these with great vigor. We are ready to deal with the challenges of whatever nature, Karra added and said Congress Party is strong enough to overcome these politically.
