Jammu, Jan 19 : Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Monday called for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, stating their return is vital for restoring the Kahsmir’s “beauty and harmony.”

Choudhary as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) cited National Conference leader Dr. Farooq Abdullah’, CM Omar Abdullah’s long-standing position, saying, “Dr. Farooq Abdullah has always said that if Kashmiri Pandits are rehabilitated in Jammu and Kashmir, there is no doubt that the beauty and harmony of Kashmir will return.

For true brotherhood to be restored, Kashmiri Pandits must return.”

Deputy Chief Minister further said that Kashmir’s beauty remains incomplete without its Pandit community. He asserted that their homecoming would rekindle the communal harmony and famed hospitality for which Kashmir is known across the country.

Deputy CM further added, “It is hoped the central government will soon take decisive steps in this direction so that Kashmiri Pandits can return to Kashmir swiftly.” (KNS)
