“Today we are protesting against the continuous braid-chopping incidents across Kashmir. We want that braid-chopping must end immediately, the fear it has created among Kashmiris must come to an end so that Kashmiri women continue their daily chores with absolute freedom,” Qayoom told reporters during the protest rally at Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk.

He said that the lawyers believe that whosoever loves the honor of Kashmiri women must support them and join the protest against the act.
