Kishtwar administration distributes vegetables among the vulnerable families

KISHTWAR, APRIL 07 2020

Continuing its efforts of distribution of essentials among the needy in view of COVID-19 pandemic, district administration distributed vegetables among the 200 needy and vulnerable families in Kishtwar town.

A team under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Kishtwar Javeed Iqbal Khandey along with the Secretary Red Cross Unit Kishtwar Asgar Ali Sheikh distributed 5 kg vegetables comprising of 2 kg potatoes, 2 kg onions and 1kg tomatoes among each 200 families in Giri Nagar, Kundhali, Charhar, Bindraban, Lower Berwar, Sangrambhata, Hatta, Sarkoot, Zewar, Lanyal, link road & Brahaman Mohalla.

During distribution of vegetables the precautionary measures of social distancing and hygiene were properly adopted.

Also the recipients were sensitized and educated about the various SOPs and other social distancing measures during the process of distribution besides they were asked to invariably report to the district administration about any person in their locality who has foreign travel history.
