Lady found dead in Srinagar’s Bemina, Probe taken-up

A lady was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her rented room in the Bemina area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday, officials said.

An official told that the lady, who was living as a tenant in a house at Sir Syedabad, Bemina, was found dead this morning.

He said the lady was found lying unconscious inside her room and was later declared dead by doctors..

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of death.

The deceased has been identified as Saima Rajab, daughter of Mohd Rajab, a resident of Naidkhai Sonawari.—(KNO)
