LAWDA warns of stern action against encroachers

A demolition drive on Monday was carried out by the Lakes & Waterways Development Authority through its enforcement wing in the area Konakhan Dalgate, Drogjan and Shahdad Bagh Habak, Srinagar in which three illegal structures was demolished including two residential houses and two shops which were raised illegally by a violators.

It is pertinent to mention here that in the valley in view of COVID – 19. The Enforcement wing despite the restrictions managed to move down such illegal constructions and will continue with the demolition of such construction in future.

It is therefore requested through this medium that during this COVID-19 when whole world including the valley is under the threat of this pandemic diseases, the violators are busy in constructing illegal structures, such violators may be social boycotted.

No constructions, however, can be allowed in the restricted areas earmarked by High Court and the Master Plan of Srinagar city.
