Lt Governor holds interactive session with SMC Councillors

SRINAGAR, MARCH 2: Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu today held an interaction session with the Councillors of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) at SKICC.

While addressing the Councillors, the Lt Governor said that the Government is committed towards the empowerment of local elected representatives to strengthen the democratic set up at the grassroots level.

The Lt Governor assured the Councillors to address various developmental issues of their respective wards.

SMC Mayor, Junaid Matoo; Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmed Khan; IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar; Deputy Mayor Srinagar, Parvaiz Ahmed Qadri; SMC Commissioner Gazanfar Ali; VC LAWDA Tufail Matoo and other senior officers also attended the session.
