Major Fire Damages Seven Buses, in Kupwara Bus Stand; No Casualties

Kupwara, Apr 9 : A major fire incident broke out at the main bus stand in Kupwara late Wednesday night, damaging several buses, officials said.

An official from to Fire and Emergency Services, rold news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the blaze was reported at around 11:27 PM, following which firefighting teams rushed to the spot and found multiple buses engulfed in flames.

Officials said that a total of seven buses were affected in the incident, including three that were completely gutted, three partially damaged, and one impacted by heat and smoke.

Firefighters launched an immediate operation and, after several hours of strenuous efforts, managed to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior officers, while no loss of life or injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is being ascertain
