Member of Parliament also spoke to Deputy Commissioner of district Kulgam regarding the matter and asked him to depute a team to the affected area to assess the losses at an earliest to ensure the affected do not undergo trepidation in the days to come.

Expressing concern over the losses incurred by the herdsmen, Masoodi said that the livestock was the only possession of the affected and that the calamity that has struck their livestock has rendered them hopeless. “Besides that the calamity has spoiled their edibles and other humble belongings.

The hapless people are in squalid state. Grappling with the grief, they have set their eyes on administration to rescue them from the setback. It is expected that the district administration will access the losses at an earliest and ensure disbursement of compensation to the affected without delay,”
