Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah today expressed sorrow and anguish over the demise of noted businessman Sheikh Parvaiz Ahmad of Sonwar.
While Condoling the demise, Dr Farooq prayed for peace to the soul of departed and much needed strength to the grief-stricken family. Party President also made a phone call to the mournful family and extended consolation in their hour of grief. He also expressed sorrow over the demise of noted public figure Showkat Ahmad Qadri of Pampore and prayed for eternal repose to his soul.
Meanwhile Party President and Vice President paid glowing tributes to Ex-MLA Dooru, Former MOS Ghulam Hassan Bhat on his death anniversary. Extolling the honesty and courageousness of late Ghulam Hassan Bhat Sahib, Party President and Vice President said that the late leader worked sincerely towards the empowerment of people with commitment and passion.
The duo said that late leader shall be remembered for the sheer volume of good work he rendered as minister in the restoration of work culture, accountability after assuming office in 1996. Party’s Member of Parliament from Anantnag Hassnain Masoodi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leaders Sakina Itoo, G A Shah, District Presidents Altaf Kaloo, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, Party Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, Reyaz Ahmad Khan also paid tributes to Late Ghulam Hassan Bhat.
