Srinagar, April 13 (KNS): President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi.
In her message, Ms. Mufti highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival, describing Baisakhi as a celebration of harvest, hope, and communal harmony. She said the occasion reflects the rich traditions of togetherness and shared heritage that have long been a hallmark of Jammu and Kashmir’s pluralistic society.
She conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the Sikh community in particular and expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all. Emphasizing unity and brotherhood, she urged people to strengthen the bonds of harmony and mutual respect.
Ms. Mufti also prayed for the well-being of the people and hoped that the spirit of Baisakhi inspires renewed optimism and collective resilience in the face of challenges.
