Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former chief minister Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Monday hit hard to BJP over rising terrorist attacks in Pir Panchal region.
While condemning the attack, Mehbooba Mufti while talking to reporters in Srinagar said under BJP rule peaceful and terrorism-free areas are witnessing militant attacks.
“Those areas which were peaceful and militancy free are now witnessing terrorist attacks. I condemn these attacks but let BJP answer why Pir Panchal region which was peaceful is now seeing terrorist attacks,” she said.
A soldier of Indian Air Force (IAF) was killed while four others were injured when a convoy of IAF vehicles was ambushed by the terrorists at Shaistar in Poonch district on Saturday evening. Following the attack, a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASOs) was launched in different parts of dense forests and adjoining areas.
