MeT Forecasts Inclement Weather Conditions Upto Mar 16

Srinagar, Mar 10 (KB): Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecasted inclement weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir up to March 16.

An official from MeT, as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin, that there is possibility of intermittent light to moderate rain/snow at many places with moderate snowfall over higher reaches of Kupwara, Bandipora and Ganderbal today (March 10).

“On March 11, there is possibility of light rain/snow at isolated to scattered places,” said the official, adding, on March 12 to March 14, there are chances of intermittent light to moderate rain/snow at many places.”

Anticipating a spillover, the official said that on March 15 and March 16, there again will be intermittent light to moderate rain/snow at many places.

“In between March 17 to March 21, the weather is expected to improve and expected to remain dry,” the official said.

In the meantime, travelers, tourists and transporters have been in the meantime advised to follow administration and traffic advisories.

The farmers on the other hand have been advised to suspend farm operations from March 10 onwards till March 16.

People in and around slopy and avalanche prone areas have been advised to maintain caution and avoid unnecessary movement. (KB)
