Srinagar, May 21: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast partly to generally cloudy weather across Jammu and Kashmir with light rain, thundershowers, gusty winds and hailstorm activity at many places during May 21 and 22.

According to the forecast, weather conditions are expected to remain generally dry during the forenoon from May 23 to 25, with brief showers likely at isolated to scattered places towards late afternoon hours.

The MeT department said Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness hot and dry weather conditions from May 26 to 28, while partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain or thundershower at isolated places is expected again between May 29 and 31, mainly during late afternoon hours.

In its advisory, the MeT Centre warned of the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorm and gusty winds with speeds of 40–50 kmph, gusting above 60 kmph, at a few places in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions during May 21 and 22.

The department also said hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail at a few places in Jammu division on May 21.
